At an early age Gary and his sister Pern would harmonize together singing tunes by the Everly Brothers. His mother, Pearl loved to play the piano and the family music talent rubbed off on Gary. It all began in a Chicago suburb. Together with friends, he started a group called “The Monterey’s”. Some of his favorite influences are The Eagles, Journey, Fleetwood Mac, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. He has played with other groups though the years in Illinois, Colorado, California and now Florida. He started The Free Wheelin’ band in 2006 and it is a popular dance band in Tallahassee and surrounding areas. One of his favorite originals, “And Then You Called”, bring audiences to the dance floor. Gary’s love for playing the drums and singing shines on stage.
Kent Rodriguez seems to have done it all. Whether it's Rock & Roll, R & B, Top 40 or Country, Kent is a veteran of the Central Florida music scene. Kent moved to the Tallahassee area and quickly found a place performing in some of the area's most popular night clubs with some of the areas most popular musicians. He has been in opening acts for T. Graham Brown, Mel McDanield, The Kentucky Headhunters, The Bama Band, Sweethearts of the Rodeo, David Allen Coe, Razzy Bailey, Dan Seals, and last but not least, Conway Twitty. Kent's smooth style and attention to detail give him the ability to blend in with ease or step up and grab you by the ears.
Bobby Maestas has been a musician all his life. He began playing in front of people at the age of 12. Like so many others, he found inspiration in the Beatles, Elvis, the Stones and all the early rock icons. He spent his school years learning his craft and learned to play guitar, bass, and keyboards. Even so, you'll most often see him with a bass in his hands.
Johnny Tinter gives credit to his grandfather, Jim Slautor, as being a great influence in his musical career. His grandfather gave him his first guitar, a JC Penney Deluxe Hummingbird guitar and taught him how to play at the age of 14. His confidence grew and his own style developed. He loves to perform and is fueled by interacting with an audience. He has played in local Tallahassee bands, Rusty Strings and Inigio. Some musical influences are Led Zepplin, Van Halen and Rush. Put a guitar in Johnny’s hands and feel the heat! His arsenal includes Gibson & Fender guitars, and loves Marshall Amps. Johnny loves to have a good time with the audience and it shows playing with the Free Wheelin’ band. He says, "Playing the guitar has been an awesome part of my life".
